eSignature

(Advanced feature of Nitro PDF Pro)

Sign or Send PDFs with an eSignature Service

Users of Nitro Sign or DocuSign's electronic signature (e-signature) service will be able to sign and send documents from Nitro PDF Pro. To log in to Nitro Sign or DocuSign from Nitro PDF Pro, a user must either already have an account with Nitro Sign or DocuSign, or can sign up for an account. Once signed in, the application will remember your credentials for a seamless workflow.

Sign a Document with DocuSign

  1. Choose File and log in to Nitro Sign or DocuSign.
  2. Click "Continue" to log in.
  3. Enter your log-in credentials.
  4. A browser window will open with your PDF loaded and ready to sign in Nitro Sign or DocuSign's sign workflow.

Send a Document for Signatures Using Nitro Sign or DocuSign

  1. Choose File and log in to Nitro Sign or DocuSign.
  2. Click "Continue" to log in.
  3. Enter your log-in credentials.
  4. A browser window will open with Nitro Sign or DocuSign's Send for Signatures workflow.
  5. From Nitro PDF Pro choose File and upload the document you want signed.

Documents signed or sent with Nitro Sign or DocuSign are:

  • Encrypted.
  • Maintains an audit trail.
  • Does not require additional software installation.
  • Are legally binding in the United States and most other countries.

DocuSign is authorized by the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) for use in government.

What is an electronic signature? Digital signatures refer to adding your signature and verifying authenticity, while electronic signatures usually refer to collecting other signatures. An electronic signature is a legally binding signature for signing an electronic document or record and, according to the E-Sign Act, is equivalent to a handwritten signature.
